I love to shoot landscapes
in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland
After watching a number of YouTube videos by a number of different landscape photographers I was inspired to buy my first entry level DSLR digital camera, a Canon 200D which got me out to start taking photos, I am now a Sony A7R III Mirror-less camera shooter which is an awesome camera.
I had no idea how to use the thing when I started out, however I watched numerous tutorials on YouTube, I picked up tips here and there and with some trial and error over a number of months I managed to get the hang of it. I have over the past 4 years added to my arsenal of camera equipment and have never looked back.
There is nothing better than getting out and seeing the beautiful country where I live and I feel very blessed to live where I do and also the places that I have lived in the Scottish Highlands. Photography has taken me to places I had always wanted to have visited but for one reason or another had never gone. Now my Google map is being filled with stunning places I have been and have taken some great photos. I really enjoy being out in the peace and quiet, I think over the years it's become more apparent after living a slightly fun filled life I would rather get out and appreciate the country in which I live.
